Carlyle Ciccone is a husband, father, small business owner, and community advocate who is running to represent Connecticut’s 98th District.

Carlyle has spent more than 16 years building and operating a successful restaurant business. His experience in the private sector has given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing Connecticut families, workers, and small businesses as the cost of living, energy prices, and taxes continue to rise.

Carlyle currently serves as Vice Chair of the Guilford Republican Town Committee and as an alternate member of the Guilford Planning & Zoning Commission. Through his community involvement, he works to preserve the character of local neighborhoods while supporting responsible growth and thoughtful decision-making.

Carlyle and his wife, Kristen, have been married for 14 years and are raising their two young children in Guilford. Like many families, they want their children to have the opportunity to build a future in Connecticut without being driven away by rising costs and government policies that often feel disconnected from the realities of everyday life.

Carlyle is running because he believes Connecticut needs more common-sense leadership and a stronger voice for local communities. He believes decisions are best made by families, towns, and local leaders—not by distant policymakers in Hartford. His priorities include making Connecticut more affordable, reducing energy costs, protecting local control, and ensuring government works for the people it serves. 

Carlyle is committed to bringing practical, business minded leadership to Hartford with the goal of making Connecticut a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
